About us

NTAC Mission Statement

To develop and implement charitable, educational and scientific projects focused on the vision that North Texans with asthma will realize optimal health and quality of life; by

       Informing health care providers, patients and families, the public, payers, employers and governmental partners about: i) the elements of evidence-based, state-of-the-art asthma care; ii) the personal and societal burden that asthma imposes; iii) misconceptions and myths about asthma; and iv) barriers to optimal asthma care;

       Promoting research to improve the delivery of asthma care in North Texas and delineate the role of the environment in the development and exacerbation of asthma;

       Communicating with local asthma coalitions, health care providers and provider organizations, patients and families, community-based organizations and governmental partners;

       Disseminating information about North Texas asthma projects, resources for patients and providers, developments in asthma care and research and data on the health of North Texans with asthma;

       Collaborating with groups to improve indoor and outdoor air quality;

       Encouraging and supporting activities that measure the health of North Texans with asthma


Charitable Status

NTAC is organized pursuant to the Texas Business Organizations Code. The purpose for which the Consortium is organized is exclusively charitable within the meaning of the Internal Revenue Service Code, Section 501(c)(3), and the Texas Tax Code, Section 11.18
